Roles and Responsibilities

Thank you for evaluating EarthLinked Technologies, Inc. (ETI) products for your heating and/or cooling needs. We are passionate about saving energy and the environment and providing exceptional equipment for your use. As a prospective purchaser of EarthLinked^® equipment we think it is important that you understand the roles and responsibilities of ETI and the designers and installers of your entire heating and cooling or hot water plumbing system.

ETI manufactures heat pumps that provide a source of heating and cooling for various thermal distribution systems that are designed and produced by others. ETI does not manufacture distribution systems nor can it provide instruction on the design, application or service of equipment produced by others. Among those distribution systems are air handlers that distribute heated or cooled air, water heaters that store and distribute potable water, and radiant hydronic systems that store and distribute water to heat buildings.

ETI sells its products through independent sales representatives and contractors. Upon successful completion of a specialized training course relating to the selection, installation, start-up and servicing of EarthLinked systems, those independent parties are then authorized to purchase and install EarthLinked products as a component of the complete system that they have designed for your application.

ETI’s responsibility is to provide complete training on the specifics of its component equipment, ship high quality products and, if needed, provide for service and repairs as specified in its warranty documents. We take those responsibilities very seriously and we work diligently to perform them better than any other supplier.

Licensing and Certification

System designers and installers are regulated by local licensing laws and their work is governed by local building codes. ETI has no authority to “certify” installers and has no direct control over specific designs and installations. By contractual agreement, ETI sales representatives and installers around the world are not authorized to act as agents of ETI.

Internet Sales

ETI does not sell or authorize any other parties to sell any of our products by use of the Internet. ETI will not provide warranty or technical support for any products purchased in this manner. A site visit, heat load/heat loss calculation, system selection, design of the separate thermal distribution system, and installation and start-up by an authorized EarthLinked installer are all essential to assure optimum performance.
