Technology Innovations Bring Visitors to Lakeland from Three Continents
Speakers from Australia, Estonia, Canada and the U.S. will present their experience and innovations at a technology conference at the Hilton Garden Inn for three days beginning Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Physics professor Donald Payne, Ph.D. of Melbourne University will discuss the government incentives supporting the move to clean energy systems in Australia; Hardi Torn of Tallinn, an engineer educated in St. Petersburg, Russia, will discuss earth coupled heat pumps in cold climates; while representatives from North America will contribute their expertise.
The keynote speaker will be Ted Kantrowitz, the VP of the Canadian Geothermal Consortium and a presentation will be made by the CO of that Association, Denis Tanguay. There will be a demonstration of a revolutionary groundwater protection grout that recycles fly ash, an environmentally clean byproduct of electric power plants.
The conference is sponsored by EarthLinked Technologies of Lakeland that exports geothermal heat pumps to 46 states and 15 countries, from Sitka to Sydney.
About EarthLinked Technologies, Inc.
Invented in response to the energy crisis of the 1970’s, and continuously improved since that time, EarthLinked® systems are now saving energy in homes, businesses and institutions around the world. They have been the subject of nine U.S. patents and successful performance testing by the U.S. EPA, the Florida Solar Energy Center and ten electric utilities. As verified by EPA, the EarthLinked commercial water heating system saves up to 75% of the electricity that would be used by an electric resistance water heater, with proportionate reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
